Total Slacker

Okay, okay, okay... I know... I am a total Slacker in the blogging department... But my girls have started blogging (you know who you are) and I can not, I repeat, NOT be the Lame Sauce in this equation!

So, I have rebooted and updated my bloggy, blog and I am not sure if I will update the family one (Strachan's Spot) or not...

On to bigger and better things!!!!

Tomorrow is All Hallows Eve....oooooooo.... (that there is my spooky voice)  The kids are totally stoked and the costumes are waiting to be donned.... we will see how much of the yummy stuff they haul in.  And I now notice I am so using too many of the dot, dot, dot, dot..... so....

In the news, Hurricane Sandy (NOT Sandi as a lot of you have been trying to say).  Although I am a whirlwind of fun, I hope that I am not leaving a path of mayhem and destruction in my wake.  I am putting my thoughts and prayers out to all of the individuals that have been affected by this.  Working at UHC, I deal with a lot of people who live/work on the east coast and it gets hard hearing the struggles of the people there and how bad it has gotten.  My prayers to everyone.

Well, as I am going bonkers from lack of sleep and laundry is calling to me and my middle finger hurts (for no other reason than I have torn my nail to the quick) and I feel as if I am rambling.  I say adieu mes amis!!! 

Times are Changing

Well, times are changing for sure around here... I have applied for a new job. Sigh. Well, actually, I have applied for a few new jobs. We will see what happens... Not that I mind driving bus, but it was never my dream job. I started so that the kids were not raised in daycare and so they were with either myself for the hubby for the majority of their days til school. Then school started and the 5 yrs until V started kindergarten seemed to have flown by. I stuck with it since it worked with all our schedules.

Now it is 8 yrs later. Eight years!!! My, how times flies when your having fun, huh? Between the two of us, the hubby and I have decided it's time to get back to something I somewhat enjoy doing. There was a lot of strife going on this last school year. Issues I can not get into. And there was a lot of stress. I so needed the summer off, for sure. So, I have somethings in the works and we will see what pans out this next coming week.

Since today is the 14th, we have 17 days til school starts. Not a lot of time to make changes.

There are other changes going on within the family, but that is for another time.

M is starting 4th grade this year. WOW!!! 4th Grade!!! My little girl is growing up so fast and before I know it, she will be wanting the keys for the car and Tom is going to be having aneurysms about teaching her. Guess that may just fall to me.

V is starting 3rd grade and we will see how he handles it. I know that starting a new job just as school is starting isn't optimal, but it is what it is...

On to new things!

I have started taking better care of ME... I have started looking at what I love and what I like to do. Started eating better and eating to live, not living to eat as it seemed to be. I have lost a total of 16 lbs this summer which isn't a lot, but it's a bit more than 1 lb a week. Right where I want to be since this is something I want to keep off and not continue to yo-yo back and forth.

So, I will try and check online for a weight tracker to post on here along w/my Breaking Dawn Counter. I Can't Wait!!! Have I said that yet??? LOL!!! I love the books! They take me back to my H.S. love of books and just make me go to a happy place when reading them. I am so an enabler to anyone who shows even a minute amount of interest in maybe reading them. I am right there with my books saying, "Take mine! I will share!"

I will also try and get my photos updated. Finally found my cord for the battery charger for my camera. So the majority of my pix are on my cell. Have to get them off and onto a disk and onto here.

Well, Tom is snoring away on the chair watching something about 9-11 and it's so interesting that it is starting to put me to sleep. I know that if I try and turn it off, that he will wake up, poof! So, off to searching for my tracker and working on other things to get done.

Hello, Earth!

I am here... well, most of me is here. I think that my mind is wandering somewhere above in the cosmos. LOL!!! Ahhhh... the day I have had. and I am soooo glad that tomorrow is FRIDAY! YAY!

Weekends are wonderful and the weather is getting nicer and nicer, but sadly to say, Saturday they are calling for (gasp!) SNOW!!! AAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!! Run away!!!

I am going to update some information and add some stuff and take out some old. Maybe update and add some pictures, but I am going to try and write a couple of times a month. I would like to update it at least once a week, but we shall see.
