Ok, I know that I have been MIA lately... been busy getting the garage up and finished before the first snow... ok, that didn't happen as it snowed a bit this last weekend. But, we are getting there... floor poured, walls up, roof up, shingling almost done and by this weekend we should have the doors in and the rest of the roof done and hopefully started on the siding... next monday we are getting the big garage doors put in and then we get to start getting all our junk moved in.

I have pictures and will post soon... hopefully within the next couple of days... maybe just put on the family site, but I will have a link, never fear!!!

I just wanted to drop a note for those that keep track, but once again, I am running late for an errand as Tom is off work today and we have to go get snow fence and wood and see if we can get the heater on his car fixed... if it isn't something.... but we keep the Faith...

On September 10, 2008, our barn burned down at 2am in the morning... talk about a heart jolt!!!

I posted some pictures of our corn harvest... yum!!!

mind you this is only from 1 (yes, I said only 1) row and we have 2 more left... we planted 5 rows at our neighbors house and are splitting it... check it out...

Altered Folders

I got this idea from a You Tube posting from Janet Costas (sp?) a SU demo.

Instead of her manilla folders I used plain white pocket folders and double sided (red) sticky taped them together... I used 4 folders as they were a bit thicker.

I used:
*"K & Company" paper Classic K McKenna.
*Prima Flowers
*SU Pop-up Glue Dots
*rhinestone brads from pretties kit
*Basic Grey Chipboard Monograms

Hope you like it... I wanted to use the Bella papers, but didn't have them as I am going to order them this month... oh, well, I still love these colors...

Well, I have been busy with the garden and the kids and trying to get everything done before school starts back up and I go back to work... Cleaning today, nothing special, but I do have a couple of cards to post from my SU demo's open house this last weekend... Loved the cards we did, I will give credit when I actually have time to take pics and post...

Anything Goes Swap

Here is my card for the Anything Goes Swap I am in for August... I think it turned out pretty cute. I used the colors from a card we did last month for our stamp group, but a different patterned paper... and tried to come up with something that was nice, but not too girly...

Cricut Cuttables

These are the coolest things... like those vinyl rub-ons that you can get at Joanne's or Michael's, and the sort of like the ones you can get thru Stampin' Up... but..... you cut them yourself with your Cricut!!!

Your only limitations depend on what cartridges you happen to have... this is my first attempt at something... thought it turned out cute... now, to come up with some more ideas!!!

I put them up by my light switch in my crafty room and below my dry erase board... my other board wouldn't stay up and I needed something to fill the space... now, what to do next???

Stamping Away!

Well, lastnight was my night to be hostess of our stamp group which was also our last night of the year.... next meeting we will be able to see all the new stuff that our demo gets from Convention.

I got some cute stamp sets, and some markers and some of the in-color paper to bulk up my supply since they are on the way out... sniff, sniff...

so, I have some cards I made to take with lastnight and I will upload them since I have been promising to do so for the last couple of days... I got the ideas from Dawn off You Tube and I've posted the links along with a picture of the card I made. I want to give credit where credit is due!
