life goes on... oobla dee, oobla day!

I blinked and it's almost November... no costumes ready for the kids... no halloween candy bought.  sigh... life it running away from me again.

Books!!!

10 days since STYXX has been released and I am still trying to get time to finish it....  Why, oh why does life keep getting in the way of my reading time???? 

I think I am gonna cry......

My baby is going to be 11 tomorrow and I thought he was just a wee babe yesterday....  sigh... How time flies when the world revolves around sun and time moves forward and I shudder to think that tomorrow I will wake up and they will be away at college.

So, here's wishing my baby boy a BIG HAPPY 11th Birthday!!!!!

Holy Beans, Batman!!!!

I can't believe it's already been, um.... 4 mos since my last post.  Working has taken over my life.  The late shift was playing havoc with my family life (and my sanity, I think).  Sooooo......

Now that it is June, School's out, garden is in, I am on a new shift (Thank God!) and hopefully we will save up enough money for our trip this fall.  I don't have a lot to report other than the local coffee/gift shop has agreed to put out some of my hats this fall.  So, I need to get crocheting my fingers off.  6 hats!  Whoo-hoo!!!  If they are good and I can get my butt in gear I may also post some online.  We will see.

Hopefully, I will get some pics posted to show how much the kids and the garden is growing like weeds... well the kids and no weeds in the garden (I hope)!

Sigh......

my life feels like it is running away from me....

I blink and it's now the end of February.  Christmas done, New Year's done, Valentine's done.  Where does the time go?

I need to work on a new hat...  Having an issue with finding the time to work on some cute ideas.  I have them here and just waiting to get out of my hands and into the real world.  Alas, I need a vacation.  I need to run away.  :)

Hats Galore!!!

So.... I've been crocheting away as I have been pretty stationary with my knee and all.  And I seem to have hit off on a talent for the headwear.

I make hats for my kids and sometimes for Christmas gifts....  I have had a couple of nibbles on people asking what I charge and wonder if it would be worth while to make and sell them at local craft fairs or possibly online.... something to think about.

Tom and the kids have taken to calling me Hoppy... not Honey, or Mom or Mommy... Hoppy.

This is getting old.

Really Old.  Really Fast.

So, off work til Jan 21st.   Working on getting a better range of motion in my knee and making it strong enough to haul my butt around.  Tomorrow I get to do some water exercises in the pool and let me just tell you.  Squats suck!

So, getting better a bit every day, little by little. Inch by creaky inch.
